I am delighted to be the third Headmaster of Great
Southern Grammar, a position I took up in 2008. My work
in education spans over 23 years, with much of the
decade prior to my move to GSG being spent in
establishing an outstanding P-12 coeducational,
independent school in Queensland.
Great Southern Grammar is developing an excellent reputation for the
quality of its facilities, programmes and staff. There
is a culture of achievement in the school and of
excellence in a range of academic, cultural and sporting
pursuits. Our programmes offer enormous depth and
breadth of learning across the curriculum.
The school has a Christian foundation and we strive to
ensure that attention is given to the spiritual and
personal development of each student. It is hoped that
graduates of the school will demonstrate values of
compassion and tolerance and contribute to their
community and society in the future. We seek to provide
opportunities for students to grow in knowledge and
wisdom and to develop a love of learning that they will
carry with them beyond their school days.
For those students living outside Albany, an outstanding
boarding programme is available where students are
supported by a committed, well qualified and caring
staff. I can think of no better place to be than Great
Southern Grammar, the School of the Sea, and I look
forward to continuing to provide an excellent education
and working with members of the school community.
