Governance
The
school is guided by a Board of Trustees that oversee and hold the
school in trust for the community. Their role is to have a
deep sense of commitment and responsibility to the school community
they serve. The Board members are responsible for the development
of the school and its policies and to delegate the day-to-day management
of the school to the School Council.

School
Council
The
School Council manage the planning and implementation of strategies
and focuses on policy making and review in the following areas:

The Strategic direction and strategic management
of the school;

Ensuring the delivery of quality education
to the students attending Great Southern Grammar;
-
Ensuring those who deliver the schools education
curriculum are afforded every opportunity to develop themselves
professionally;

Ensuring that the Great Southern Grammar
experience is an enjoyable that assists in preparing for embracing
opportunities for the future;

Ensuring adequate strong Governance across
areas of the school; and
-
Ensuring that the delivery of quality education
is adequately supported through effective financial and operational
management of the school.
The management of
the school is the responsibility of the Headmaster. The Council
has recently upgraded its constitution and master plans for the
future development.
Within
the Council is a Finance Committee, a Building Committee and a Development
Committee (which meet monthly). It also establishes task groups
to deal with specific issues as the need arises.

The Schools
Management
The Headmaster is
responsible to the Council for the management of all aspects of
the school and, in collaboration with the Council, for the development
of the strategic direction of Great Southern Grammar.
The school senior

Education
The
Headmaster is supported in the administration of education by the:
The
Headmaster appoints these executive positions and all other teaching
staff.
Finance
The
Business Manager is responsible to the Headmaster in conjuction
with the Council. The Business Manager attends all Finance Comittee
meetings. The Business Manager, in consultation with the Headmaster,
appoints administration staff.
Enrolments
Registrar and Promotions
The
Enrolments Registrar is primary responsible to the Headmaster and
is appointed by the Headmaster. The Registrar reports to the Headmaster
in terms of presenting reports and planning of major projects or
events as part of the overall development of the school and the
management of enrolments into the School. The Registrar also oversees
the implementation of all marketing and community relations with
direction by the Headmaster.
Headmaster's
Assistant
The Assistant to
the Headmaster is responsible to the Headmaster and is appointed
by the Headmaster. The Personal Assistant attends Council Meetings
with the Headmaster and coordinates school events' or word processing
for the Headmaster and the management of appointments for the Headmaster.
Operations
All departmental
executives meet monthly to report, plan and workshop strategies.
The following meetings are held between and for departments within
the school to assist in operations, planning and communications.
