Pastoral Care
It has been widely recognised that pastoral care is an essential
component of modern education.
At
Great Southern Grammar pastoral care is an integral dimension of every aspect of our school life.
We
are a small school community with a current student population
of about 550. Our overall teacher to student ratio is
approximately 1 to 10 from Pre-primary to Year 12. This
changes ranges as students progress through the different
developmental and academic stages within the School.
We recognise that each stage of a child's development
has its unique challenges; that each stage is a transition from one physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual
degree of maturation to another.
Our basic School structure reflects these
phases, with each of the three internal 'Schools' offering specific learning environments tailored to students' needs.
