Junior sport develops with committed players, parents, coaches and managers. Representatives of GSG are encouraged to enjoy the game, develop their skills and learn about the competition to the best of their ability. Expected commitment to Netball involves attending one training session either before or after school, and one game each week for the entire season from team registration to post-team celebrations in September.

The Albany Netball Association (ANA) fixtures and divisions are determined by player and team skill levels and ability, rather than age, ensuring players compete with others of similar ability. It also provides opportunities for all players to develop their skills and challenge themselves within a supportive environment, and enables the development of new friendships among players who may not normally interact at school.

Netball Uniform

Please note the following requirements for games:

  • Grammar Netball dress
  • Grammar long sports socks
  • Navy bike shorts (no longer than dress length)
  • Predominantly white sports shoes (no volleys)
  • No jewellery, earrings or hair accessories (plain hair elastics and secure bobby pins are suitable). This is a safety requirement of the ANA and GSG.

Players are required to attend a Netball dress fitting at the GSG Uniform Shop.
