Application process
To apply for a vacancy, complete an online application which includes:
- An online employment application form, submitted through our Current Vacancies portal;
- An up-to-date CV listing two professional referees who can describe your work performance;
- A cover letter addressing the position description, highlighting your suitability and expertise.
Applications will only be considered if submitted online. Unsolicited emails or applications will not be considered or accepted. All applications are treated in the strictest confidence. Applications close at midnight, Australian Western Standard Time, on the advertised closing date and will be acknowledged upon receipt.
Successful shortlisted applicants will be contacted to arrange an interview. Candidates are interviewed by a selection panel, typically consisting of three members, including the line manager for the position.
The content of the interview may include general questions and a discussion about skills, experience, and suitability for the position. It may also include scenarios and presentations.
The school reserves the right to fill a position by invitation, re-advertise a position, or alter the scope of a role at any time before appointing a successful candidate.
If you're unsuccessful
Unsuccessful interviewed candidates will be advised by a phone call.
Candidates not interviewed will be notified by email, usually within four weeks of the closing date. Individual feedback can be provided to applicants who are unsuccessful upon request.
Great Southern Grammar acknowledges that the land upon which we learn, play and grow is Menang land, whose traditional custodians are the Noongar people. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging and acknowledge that their sovereignty was never ceded.
