I’ve been an educator for over 25 years and I’m also a father.
I remember what it was like when my kids were growing up. Day in and day out, you support your child — from rocking them to sleep to dropping them at training, teaching them values, and watching them learn lessons along the way.
And now: what a decision you’re making! The magnitude of choosing a school for your child is not lost on me. It’s not lost on any member of the Great Southern Grammar community.
That’s why we’ll work hard every day to show your child that they matter. Their academic journey, the things they care about, and the experiences your child has — it all matters. Being part of the GSG community will foster that all-important feeling of belonging, so that your child develops the confidence to become the person they’re meant to be.
“Teaching and learning is at the heart of everything we do at school... but it’s the community that sets us apart.”
Friendly, approachable teachers, plenty of cocurricular activities, and a safe, caring environment mean that your child will feel connected to something special.
And we know that once your child feels connected to our community, the magic of learning will happen.
Three busy, innovative subschools work in partnership with you, the parents, to develop knowledge, character, respect, compassion, and commitment in your child within a Christian framework.
Your child will be nurtured, supported, and challenged as they discover their interests, take on challenges, and overcome adversity throughout their school years. And we’re here every step of the way as your child learns, grows, and develops independence.
I invite you to become part of the Great Southern Grammar community. In partnership with everyone here at school, let’s give your child a framework of belonging — so that they can become exactly who they’re meant to be.
We can’t wait to get started.
