Enrolment Journey

One of Life’s Biggest Family Decisions

Choosing the right school is one of the most significant decisions you will make as a family our goal is to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Applications for enrolment are open year-round, with personal school tours available at any time.

We are here to guide you through every step of the enrolment process and provide the information you need to determine if Great Southern Grammar is the perfect fit for your family.

No question is too big or small, feel free to reach out to us by phone or email. We welcome your questions, from the major ones to the little details that truly matter. We would love to connect and discuss how GSG can support your child’s educational journey.

Step 1: Schedule a Campus Tour

Book a campus tour to experience life at Great Southern Grammar firsthand. Meet our teachers, visit classrooms and see our vibrant community in action. Located on the shore of Oyster Harbour, GSG is a short, picturesque drive from the Albany town centre. There is so much to see on campus and Mrs Julia Bairstow, our Community Engagement & Enrolments Manager, makes the perfect tour guide.

Step 2: Submit Your Application

Applications are always open, all you have to do is fill out our Application for Admission form. You will need a copy of your child’s birth certificate and our application fee is $75. If you are hoping to enrol more than one child, please fill in a separate application form for each prospective student. Once you have submitted, your child/ren will be placed on the waitlist for the appropriate year group.

Step 3: Enrolment Interview

We will be in touch to book an enrolment interview. Depending on your child’s age, there are different time frames for bookings:

• Pre-Kindy: six months ahead of your child’s enrolment year

• Day students (Kindy to Year Twelve): 12 months ahead of your child’s enrolment year

• Boarding (Years Seven to Twelve): 18 months ahead of your child’s enrolment year

Once you have confirmed your interest and submitted the required documentation, we will contact you. From there, you will book an interview with one of our Executive staff (usually the Head of year group that your child will enrol in).

Interviews usually take place during school hours, which gives prospective students and their parents/guardians a chance to see what life at GSG is all about.

Step 4: Offer and Acceptance

Once the interview is completed and your child is offered admission, you will be asked to pay a non-refundable, non-transferrable Endowment Fee and sign an enrolment contract. This confirms your acceptance and secures your child’s place in their class.
